Gilgo 8/4/13

I have to admit I wasn't to confident that there would be waves today. The tide was high, swell missing and wind blowing the wrong way... But after walking through the tunnel the were some ankle slappers. It wound up being a fun morning and some gorgeous weather!

Mount Snow

Spent the day at Mount Snow with Kim. It was a great time and a great way to end the season! Looking forward to next year already!

Got in a spring skiing day last Saturday at Plattekill mountain. We had a blast, it was a no jacket kind of day! Started to get a little slushy by the end of the day but hey what do you expect for skiing in the tropics! Video later in the week!

Sunny Afternoon

The Jay Cloud is an awesome phenomena. It just dumps snow and sticks around for long periods of time. We did catch a break though one afternoon the sun was shining. Rob thought it was a good idea to ditch the traditional ski attire.

Vermont!!!

Getting Ready

So apparently Nemo is swimming his way to the east coast. Saying probably around a foot for the island starting tonight. This has potential to be epic. Expect the GoPro to be out tomorrow if we get anything worth while in the snow department. Heading up to Jay Peak in Vermont in a week too, hopefully this blizzard gives them a good pounding too. Mountain Creek Video

Here's the video from Saturday. All the footage was shot on the same day and the video was put together while in class, so it came out a little choppy. A bluebird morning and a cloudy afternoon. Enjoy!

Mountain Creek Ground Hogs Day

After knocking the rearview mirror off my car and barely fitting all the skis and boards in we finally made it to Mountain Creek, NJ. It was a great morning, they had the snow guns on full blast, wasn't too cold and weren't too many crowds. However once lunch time rolled around it got packed out and all the snow was skied off the mountain making for an icey afternoon. Left around four and fun times were had by all!

Powder Excitement

Only a few weeks until the big trip to Jay Peak, VT. The excitement is building to finally ride a bigger mountain this year. Friend shared this with me so I figured I'd share it with everyone. Its a video of a huge powder day last February at Jay. What do you know we are going this week a year later. Let's hope for a repeat, but for now enjoy!
